The Designer

Suzy Allen

Suzy Allen is a self taught needle artist who is inspired by the natural world around her. She loves to design classic styles with a modern twist. She grew up skiing on the east coast. From the mountains of Pennsylvania to the mountains of Vermont. Her favorite place to ski is Bolton Valley in Vermont. (Shh she says it's a local secret!) One of the reasons she learned how to knit was to learn how to make those gorgeous ski sweaters!

"After watching one of my favorite winter sporting events the X games on tv. I was inspired by the way the skiers were making designs in the snow as they swooshed from side to side in the half pipe in between their signature moves. After watching many runs and looking at many stitch patterns, I decided that this stitch pattern best represented both the designs in the half pipe as well as the tricks in the air."

Tucker Perkins

When not training in Park City or competing around the world, Tucker's inner New Hampshire comes out—he surfs, plays the drums and saxophone, works on motorcycles and cars, hunts, fishes and dreams of meeting Bear Grylls.
Tucker's mittens have a cool pattern that look like some of his ski moves, and his surf moves, and whatever rad moves he happens to be doing at the moment.
